Effective and efficient project management and administration is important to companies that use project teams and a project-based approach. Businesses, government agencies and other organizations of various types and sizes can use people who are prepared to contribute as part of a project team or lead the management or administration of a variety of projects.
Project management and administration professionals use an integrated process to initiate, plan, organize, staff, guide, monitor and control a project. Their goal is to meet identified requirements on time and on budget.
The Project Management and Administration program in the School of Business at ITT Technical Institute introduces students to fundamental knowledge and skills utilized in entry-level project management and administration positions. Students will be exposed to a variety of skills relating to planning, organizing, implementing, leading, and controlling the work of a project to meet the goals and objectives of the organization. The program explores various areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®).
The Project Management and Administration Option offers students a business view of project management and administration through the study of quantitative analysis and leadership in an organization.
The Information Technology Option helps students understand how to apply principles of information technology, computer systems management and business operations to the planning, management and evaluation of information technology in organizations.
The Construction Option exposes students to a variety of techniques utilized to manage, coordinate, and supervise the construction process from concept development through project completion on timely and economic bases.
This program offers graduates an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills that can help them pursue careers in a variety of entry-level project management and administration positions.
