Prerequisites

At ITT Technical Institute, we want people to succeed. We work alongside our students who must have the interest and motivation to work hard to complete their programs of study.

To qualify for admission to the bachelor online programs offered by the ITT Technical Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana, an individual must:

  • exceed the age of compulsory school attendance;
  • possess a high school diploma or a recognized equivalency certificate;
  • possess at least 84 quarter credit hours of college credit for college-level courses taken by the individual (30 of which must be in additional core courses and 24 of which must be in additional courses in humanities, composition, mathematics and the sciences and social sciences), and have obtained an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale in all such courses;
  • pass an individual interview with the school's Registrar, if the Registrar requests an interview with the student.

Application and Enrollment Processes

If you meet the above prerequisites then you are ready to start the application process.

Step 1:

You must completely fill out the Information Form giving yourself a username and password
Step 2: Login to the application process with your newly activated personal account.

Step 3:

Once you have logged in with your username and password you will need to complete these processes.

Step 4:

If you are a New Student then you must download the New Student Financial Services Application (SFSA).
Returning Students need to fill out a Returning Student Financial Services Application.

After filling out the information in the document mail it to the adress below.

Step 5:

 

If you are going to apply for a student loan or wish to be considered for any government grants you need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you are a new student the FAFSA is required.

The application is available online at FAFSA on the Web or you can mail a paper copy. You will need the school code 00732900 to identify ITT-Tech as your educational institution.

Once the first five steps are complete you will receive

  • An e-mail response, acknowledging that your information and application are being processed.
  • A confirmation from the Dean, via e-mail, on your admission to the program or whether an interview with the Registrar is necessary.
  • Contact from the Finance Department within 36 business hours with an estimate of your potential financial aid award.
  • An Enrollment Agreement sent to you via e-mail.
Step 6: Print the enrollment agreement from the email and sign and date it. Mail the signed copy of the Enrollment Agreement back to the ITT Technical Institute address specified in the instructions. When the Enrollment Agreement is received the school will execute the Enrollment Agreement and mail you a fully executed copy.
Step 7: After you have sent the executed Enrollment Agreement back to the ITT Technical Institute, you must provide the school with:
  • An official high school transcript that indicates you graduated from high school;
    or
  • An official certificate indicating your attainment of a recognized equivalent to a high school diploma;
    and
  • official transcripts documenting that you possess at least 84 quarter credit hours of college credit for college-level courses taken by you (30 of which must be in additional core courses), and documenting that you obtained an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale in all such courses.
Step 8: Once you have paid or arranged financing for all of the costs associated with your next quarter's attendance in the program, you will receive the courseware for the courses that you registered to take in that quarter and you will be given access to your online classroom. All of the course/curriculum announcements with dates/times will be posted in your online classroom

Admission Requirements and Procedures for Graduate Program

A student may be admitted into a graduate degree program if he or she has:

(1) a baccalaureate degree awarded by an educational institution located in the U.S. that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or an educational institution located outside the U.S. that is accredited or similarly acknowledged by an agency deemed acceptable in the school's discretion; and
(2) provided an official transcript from the educational institution awarding the degree.

If a student's admission into a graduate program of study at the school is rejected by the school, the school will promptly notify the student.
