| Kyle Shaw graduated in February 2002 with an associate's
degree in Electronics
Engineering Technology from the ITT Technical Institute in Albuquerque,
New Mexico.
After high school, Kyle worked in construction with his father. He always dreamed
of going to work for NASA. One day he was watching television and saw an ITT Tech
commercial and decided it was time for a change in his life.
When asked how his education at ITT Tech has changed his life, Kyle said, "When
I first started working, I was a little nervous, but now I'm not worried at all.
Because of what I learned at ITT Tech I feel I can basically go anywhere; there
are no doors locked for me anymore"
Currently, Kyle is an engineering technician with TAC Design Corporation. He
is responsible for operation, maintenance and calibration of major systems used
in the GPS navigational system. He works specifically under the 746 squadron of
the U.S. Air Force. Kyle even gets the opportunity to work with a few people from
NASA occasionally.
When asked if choosing ITT Tech was a good decision, he says, "It was
a very good decision for me. They are willing to work with you in scheduling classes
that fit your life schedule and they really push you to do your best in the classroom."
"I'm the first person in my family to attend college," adds Kyle.
"This was a great step for me and hopefully other family members; they're
all very proud of my achievement."
